Terms of Use
KaiTale
Last updated: November 6, 2026
These Terms of Use (the “Terms”, together with the app-store licence below, the end-user licence agreement or “EULA”) govern your use of KaiTale, a language-learning app for iPhone and iPad developed by Kaifuz Studio (“Kaifuz Studio”, “we”, “us”). By downloading, installing or using KaiTale you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the app.
The licence we grant you
We grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable licence to install and use KaiTale on devices you own or control, for your own personal, non-commercial language study. You may not sell, rent, sublicense or redistribute the app; reverse-engineer, decompile or disassemble it except to the extent the law expressly permits; or remove any proprietary notices. All rights not expressly granted are reserved by Kaifuz Studio.
Everything in KaiTale that runs on your device is free to use.
KaiTale cloud and the free allowance
KaiTale cloud is an optional service that writes out the sentences of a recording and suggests words and topics. On the free plan it currently covers up to 10 stories a month, with one rewarded ad before each use. This free allowance may change.
KaiTale Pro subscription
KaiTale Pro removes the ads and the monthly limit on KaiTale cloud. It is an auto-renewing subscription, offered monthly or yearly, at the price shown in the app before you buy.
Purchases are sold and processed by Apple's App Store, not by us. Payment is charged to your Apple ID at confirmation of purchase. The subscription renews automatically for the same period unless it is cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. You manage or cancel it in your App Store account settings, not inside the app. Refunds are handled by Apple under its policies.
AI output can be wrong
The written sentences, suggested meanings and suggested topics are produced by AI models and can be wrong. They are study aids. Check them, and do not rely on them where accuracy matters.
Recordings and imported content
You are responsible for having the agreement of anyone you record, and for the content you import into KaiTale, including having the right to use it.
Acceptable use
Use KaiTale lawfully and for its intended learning purpose. Do not use it to infringe anyone's rights, to circumvent the free allowance or the subscription, to overload or probe KaiTale cloud, or to reverse-engineer the app. We may suspend access to KaiTale cloud that abuses the service or these Terms.
App-store terms
Your use is also subject to the rules of the App Store. Apple's standard Licensed Application End User License Agreement applies and, where it conflicts with these Terms, governs the Apple-provided licence. Apple is not a party to these Terms and is not responsible for the app or its support, but it may enforce these Terms as a third-party beneficiary.
Privacy
How the app handles data is described in the KaiTale Privacy Policy, which forms part of these Terms.
Disclaimers and limitation of liability
KaiTale is provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranties of any kind to the fullest extent the law allows. To the fullest extent permitted by law, Kaifuz Studio will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special or consequential damages arising from use of the app. Nothing here excludes liability that cannot be excluded by law, and some jurisdictions do not allow certain limitations, so parts of this section may not apply to you.
Termination
You may stop using KaiTale at any time by deleting it. We may end the licence if these Terms are materially breached. Licence restrictions, disclaimers and the limitation of liability survive termination.
Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms as the app changes. The date above shows when they were last revised; continuing to use KaiTale after an update means you accept the revised Terms.
Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws applicable at Kaifuz Studio's principal place of business, without regard to conflict-of-laws rules, and subject to any mandatory consumer protections of your country of residence.
