Privacy Policy

KaiReader is developed by Kaifuz Studio. It is designed to work on your device and collect as little personal data as possible.

Reading stays on your device

Your reading preferences — language filter, chosen day, and progress — are stored locally on your device. KaiReader has no account system and does not require sign-in.

Where articles come from

Each day’s articles are gathered from public RSS and news sources you configure. Article selection uses simple rule-based scoring and does not require AI. Cleaned reading views are produced from the public article content.

Optional language enrichment

When enabled, extra learning data — a Vietnamese glossary, per-paragraph translation, and Japanese furigana — is generated ahead of time as part of the daily build (a server-side step), not from anything on your device or from your reading behavior. This enrichment is optional and off by default.

Microphone

KaiReader may request microphone access only for read-aloud and pronunciation features. Audio is used on-device for those features and is not uploaded or stored for tracking.

What KaiReader does not do

KaiReader does not show ads, does not track you across apps or sites, and does not sell personal information.

Data retention and deletion

You can remove KaiReader’s locally stored data by clearing the app’s data or uninstalling it. For questions, contact privacy@kaifuz.com.

Children’s privacy

KaiReader is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy as KaiReader evolves. The latest version will always be available on this page.
