Privacy Policy

KaiCam is developed by Kaifuz Studio. There is no account, no sign-in, and no advertising. Almost everything the app does happens on your device. This page lists every case where it does not.

Information KaiCam accesses

Depending on the features you use, KaiCam may request access to your camera, photos, microphone, Bluetooth, nearby devices, and local network. These permissions are used only to connect to supported cameras, show a live view, capture media, save or import photos, and — if you turn it on — listen for the voice shutter command.

What stays on your device

Photos and videos never leave your device unless you share or transfer them yourself. KaiCam has no upload path for images at all. Pose detection, background removal, retouch, object erase, colour looks and scene recognition all run on your device, offline. Camera connections, app preferences, downloaded content packs and your custom poses and looks are stored locally.

Analytics and crash reporting

There are none. KaiCam contains no analytics, attribution, advertising or crash-reporting software, and it does not create or transmit any identifier of its own. It does not send push notifications.

When KaiCam uses the network

Talking to your own camera over Wi-Fi or Bluetooth never leaves your local network. Beyond that, KaiCam contacts a server only in these cases:

• Purchases. Subscriptions and the lifetime purchase are handled by RevenueCat, which checks your purchase status when the app starts. RevenueCat assigns an anonymous identifier — it is not derived from your name, email or any account, because there is no account. Payment itself is handled entirely by Apple or Google; we never see your card details.
• Content packs. Opening the premium library requests the pack catalogue. Downloading a pack sends that anonymous identifier so we can confirm the purchase covers it.
• Online pose search (Pro). Your search words and that anonymous identifier are sent to our server, which searches Pexels on your behalf. Pexels receives the search words but not the identifier. If you pick a result, your device downloads that image directly from Pexels.
• Importing a pose from a shared link. If you share an Instagram or Facebook post into KaiCam, that post's address is sent to our server, which asks Meta for the preview image. Meta therefore also sees the address. No identifier is attached.
• Pose suggestions. The pose picker fetches a small list of currently featured poses. Nothing is sent.
• Camera compatibility reports. Only if you choose to send one. Before anything is sent, the app shows you the exact text of the report. It contains the camera model you typed, your app and OS version, and the technical exchange with the camera. Passwords, location, serial numbers, network names, MAC addresses, contact details and image data are removed before sending, and there is no identifier in it. If you have sent a report, the app checks once a day whether that camera is supported yet — that check sends nothing at all; the matching happens on your device.

As with any internet request, the servers involved see your device's IP address. Our server is operated on Cloudflare, and IP addresses are used only to limit abuse.

Voice control

The voice shutter uses your device's own speech recognition. Depending on your operating system, version and language, Apple or Google may process that audio on their servers rather than on the device. This happens only while voice control is switched on, and KaiCam never records or stores audio.

Data retention and deletion

You can remove locally stored KaiCam data by clearing the app’s data or uninstalling the app. On our server we keep only the anonymous purchase identifier with its entitlement status, and any camera reports you chose to send. Children’s privacy

KaiCam is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

We may update this policy as KaiCam evolves. The latest version will always be available on this page.
